We invite you to join a select group of university advancement leaders who will gather in Sun Valley, Idaho August 3-6 for the 2014 Western States Universities (WSU) External Relations Summit. This summit will convene advancement and governmental relations executives representing a variety of institutions in the west to discuss current issues impacting public universities during this era of profound transformation.

Diminishing state and federal resources and a renewed focus on accountability measures at the state and federal levels are driving academic leaders to question assumptions underlying public higher education. In response, public higher education institutions are developing new business models, increasing philanthropic support and implementing public/private entrepreneurial initiatives.

We hope you will join us at this year's WSU Summit as we identify better ways to prepare for and respond to the external pressures impacting public higher education.  The summit registration for the three-day conference is $500 and Sun Valley Resorts has provided summer conference rates for lodging. Attached for your review is the summit agenda as well as information regarding registration and hotel accommodations.

We appreciate the generous support of UBS Insitutional Investing and Eduventures.

We hope to see you in Sun Valley,
